Join Us | Membership in JASNA-GCR

You don’t need to be an Austen expert to feel at home in the Jane Austen Society of North America-Greater Chicago Region (JASNA-GCR). We welcome new members whether they are reading their first Austen novel or have reread her books many times.

JASNA-GCR Annual Activities:

  • Winter event, often a book discussion and luncheon in February or March
  • Spring Gala, a full day of innovative talks with elegant repasts every April or May
  • Summer event with light refreshments
  • Fall lecture, free and open to the public each September
  • December celebration of Jane Austen’s birthday, a fun program with a special birthday champagne toast to Jane Austen

  • Subscription to our regional newsletters published four times a year
  • Early notification of all regional events.
